My photography journey began long before I knew it had started.
Many years ago, I was riding shotgun on a game drive in the Kruger National Park when we came across a pride of lions. My wife had brought along a DSLR camera, but before I knew it, the camera was in my hands, and the moment was mine to capture.
I froze.
There were too many buttons, too many settings, and absolutely no idea where to begin. The lions were right there, the opportunity was perfect, and I had no clue how to translate what I was seeing into a photograph.
Years later, a good friend and talented photographer, Pascal Eisenschmidt, gifted me a camera. More importantly, he took the time to teach me the basics and helped me understand the science behind light. That gift opened the door, and from there, the rest is history.
What started as a hobby quickly became a passion that changed the way I experience the world. Today, I am most drawn to wildlife and nature photography—subjects that are honest, unpredictable, and endlessly inspiring.
I love the patience and anticipation that wildlife photography demands. Sometimes it is the quiet intensity in a predator’s eyes, the split second of a bird in flight, or the way golden light transforms a landscape. The most powerful photographs, for me, are not simply records of what happened. They are images that make you pause, feel something, and imagine what it was like to be there.
I am still growing as a photographer, constantly learning, experimenting, and challenging myself with every adventure. Each journey offers the opportunity to explore new places, reconnect with nature, and capture moments that may never unfold in quite the same way again.
This website is a collection of those moments—a visual journal of wild places, remarkable encounters, and the experiences that continue to fuel my passion.
I hope my photographs inspire others to look more closely, travel more consciously, and appreciate the extraordinary natural world we share.
